Long, sword-like leaves with scalloped edges in a dark green color tinged with purple and red hues. This plant grows from an underground rhizome, so all of the leaves sprout from a bunch in the soil. The petioles are sometimes covered in a zebra pattern of green and purple.
Special Care Instructions

This plant thrives in high humidity, so provide either a humidifier or pebble tray if the home is especially dry. Use well-draining soil mix and only allow the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings. Keep near an East or South facing window and keep out of direct sun rays to avoid burning the leaves.
