This conifer tree resembles the classic Christmas tree, growing upright with a pointed tip and many short needle-shaped leaves covering the surface of each branch. The main branches coming off of the central trunk have a palm-leaf shape, with the surrounding needles giving a bottle brush appearance to each smaller off shoot.

            Special Care Instructions
This plant thrives in acidic soil, so adding peat moss and sand to a standard potting soil is recommended. They also prefer high humidity.

            Side Notes
Despite being called the Norfolk Island Pine, this tree is not actually in the pine family.
