Prefers humid environments and soil to be kept moist but not waterlogged. Water less frequently in the Winter and only water more in the Spring/Summer. Dried-out leaf edges indicate dehydration.

As this plant matures it grows fertile fronds that stand well above the low lying foliage, which is where it gets its name!
